Soma Tree Cirque was founded by Asheville circus artist Tree aka MysTree in 2022. Soma Tree Cirque offers a visionary take on cirque and is highly rated with colleagues and clients. Soma Tree Cirque offers all things circus to the Asheville community; they teach, perform, & produce shows. They are a production company whose offerings range from street performance to full scale cirque theatre. Soma Tree Cirque is focused on supporting self-expression through circus arts (aerial dance, acrobatics, flow arts etc..).

Soma Tree Cirque makes inspiring acrobatic entertainment available to the community and gives movement artists the opportunity to set and reach their goals, and to showcase their art. Owner and operators Avahni & Tree design, author, and direct pro and semi-pro shows, student showcases, and dinner theatres. This daughter-mother duo takes to the skies as Duo Fire & Ice.

Soma Tree Cirque, although run by Tree & Avahni, is also comprised of our circus family, alternating community artists, and up-in-coming student artists. In addition to show production, Soma Tree Cirque provides stunning entertainment for parties, corporate events, and festivals.

Teaching lies at the heart of Soma Tree Cirque’s offerings. We love to teach aerial arts in many forms; lyra (aerial hoop), duo lyra, silks, duo silks, trapeze, duo trapeze, aerial sling (aka hammock, aka tissue loop, aka aerial swing), tippy lyra and other specialty apparatus. Take a private lesson, a group or shared private lesson, or join us for a summer time kids circus arts camp at: Dreaming Stone Arts & Ecology Center, The Performing Arts Company of Asheville, or Empyrean Arts.
